Do you want feedback and direction but find the idea of private lessons too much of a time or financial commitment? Perhaps you need some direction, or motivation, or you want to learn some tools to make practice and study more enjoyable. Offered in a setting where group
dynamics often aid in the learning process these bi-monthly get togethers will give you some new perspectives on the classical guitar. And perhaps we can strike up a guitar quartet as well! The classes run for an hour and a half every other week for three months. Two levels are being offered; Beginning to Intermediate and Intermediate to Advanced. Four participants are required for each class — perhaps you have a friend or two who might be interested in joining you! Cost for the class is $180 for three months.
Format
These classes will be directed by the participants needs.
Whether you are curious about developing a strong technical practice, learning how to choose repertoire or learn music, or would like to work on your performance skills, each student’s needs will help expand the learning for all participants. Grouping students in this format not only provides a wealth of information, motivation, and camaraderie but its fun!How Do I Register?
Simply contact me and let me know if you are a beginning, intermediate, or advanced player. If you’re not sure, simply let me know your past experience. Are you an absolute beginner, have you had a few private lessons, studied years ago and want to bring back the ‘good old days’? Just let me know and I can put you in the right group.
Please contact me for available dates and times.

Hi,
Where is the location of the classes?
Thanks,
Neta
Hi Neta,
At my studio (you can find me on Google Maps) at 1235 SE Division, Suite 102, Portland, Oregon – 97202. Are you from Portland? If not I may offer this on SKYPE as well. I’ll see how the registration goes. Let me know if you have any further question!
Thanks
Scott
Hi Scott,
I’m in NOVA (Northern VA)
The Tuesday evening class would be too late but the Saturday afternoon one would work.
I’ve been doing these workshops on SKYPE and one or two remote students works well.
Scott
Hi Scott,
I currently work with a teacher on Skype, and it’s not working very well for me. I’m looking for the more traditional face to face teacher. Thanks anyway, Neta
Neta –
Yes, depending on your connection speed SKYPE can be a bit sketchy. That being said, certain subjects transfer well, (the more specific the information the easier it is to communicate). While lessons are more general my Technique Workshop works well in this format.
Also, keep posted here okay, I’m releasing Phase I (Technique) in January – an independant way of learning a biomechanically aligned technique and it’s integration into repertoire. That is, if you feel the need.
Keep at it!
Yours,
Scott
