At the round
crossroads,
six maidens
dance.
Three of flesh,
three of silver.
the dreams of yesterday search for them,
but they are held embraced
by a polyfemus of gold.
The Guitar!
The polyfemus of gold (cyclops of gold) references the guitar with a face of gold and a single eye (the sound hole). Three of flesh and three of silver reference the strings of the guitar….
